MedFlow Clinic Platform
Patient management and telehealth platform for private medical practices.
The Challenge
A network of private clinics needed to unify patient records, appointment scheduling, and—post-pandemic—telehealth consultations. Oh, and everything had to be HIPAA-compliant.
The existing setup: paper files, a legacy scheduling system from 2008, and Zoom links for video calls. Not ideal.
Our Approach
We built a purpose-built platform that treats compliance as a feature, not an afterthought:
- Unified patient records accessible across all clinic locations
- Smart scheduling with automated reminders and waitlist management
- Integrated telehealth with screen sharing and document review
- Secure messaging between patients and care teams
- Prescription management with pharmacy integration
- Billing workflows with insurance claim generation
Technical Highlights
End-to-end encryption for all patient data. Messages, video calls, and file uploads are encrypted at rest and in transit.
Audit logging captures every access to patient records—who viewed what, when, and why. Required for compliance, useful for accountability.
WebRTC video with fallback to TURN servers for tricky network conditions. Consultations work reliably even on poor connections.
Role-based access down to the field level. Receptionists see availability. Nurses see vitals. Doctors see everything. Billing sees… billing.
SOC 2 Type II certification achieved within 18 months of launch.
Results
- 15 clinics now on the platform
- 10,000+ active patients
- 98.5% uptime since launch
- Zero HIPAA incidents or data breaches
- 40% reduction in no-show appointments (thanks to smart reminders)
